Whiteville could be tri- champs?

They could be Co-Champs. They've already lost to East Bladen and have to come to Vinegar Hill.
Yes that happened to Waynn Williamson at WC with the best team he had there. Got left out of playoffs. WC beat W. Brunswick,loss to Whiteville,WB beat whiteville. 3 way tie had to draw on Saturday, WC lost out. Only 2 went to playoffs back then,that was football.
A question that I don't know because it probably has changed. How many teams can go into playoffs from one conference?

and that is by the number of team in each division in a split conference. In our conference, 2A will get 2 automatic qualifiers and 1A will get 1. After that, it is based on maxpreps ratings. After they get 64 teams and divide big to small and east to west, they seed the #1's, #2's, #3's then everybody else.I believe there is only 1 other 2A conference that will get 3 automatic qualifiers.

So Co-champs works as does tri-champs. I justnever hear people say "tri-champs" very often.
1A and 4A is only inviting 48 teams to the playoffs beginning this season, meaning 24 in 1AA and 24 in 1A with the top 8 teams in each playoff receiving a first round BYE!...In other words, 16 teams(8 Teams in the East & 8 in the West) in each the 1A & 1AA will play first round games with 4 teams in the east, and 4 in the west receiving a BYE in first round of both the 1A & 1AA playoffs...At least, that is my understanding of how it will work for the 1A and the 4A schools, this year....It's unchanged as you noted for 2A & 3A with 64 teams invited, and then subdivided for the 2A,2AA,3A & 3AA playoffs...
Someone tell me how Maxpreps gotonvoled in playoff picture with NCHSAA? Can they not seed teams on wins and loses?
They were definitely a pretty good team. Had enough athletes , were physical. This team is very young also . Watch out for them next years. Also # 18 for them 240 lb MLB. Best player on the field last night IMO. May have just been his night , but was the best I've seen on defense this year!
