All of this rain has me sitting at home, off work and bored today. So, I was just wondering... If you had to pick one team from one year to play against any other schools all time best team, just curious as to which team each schools fan base would pick?

2003 South Point team was special. If you seen them play no details are needed. Outscored their opponents 249-55 in the playoffs and 752-130 for the year.
I'd like to dislike this if I could. Lol. In all seriousness they were very good. Joe brown and Brandon Reid were bad men. I think if we could have played on a dry field we would have lost by 28 instead of 48.

2015 WRH team with Johnnie (JJ) Glaspie and Keyshawn Kennedy. Offense was like a machine. Loss to JK at the beginning of season was the best loss WRH has ever had. That young sophomore defense are seniors now. That team beat Clinton that year with there former nfl players being recognized at halftime. JJ had 5 td's and 341 yds in championship against Mitchell. Did beat JK in Eastern Final that year.

Won't mention who I think our best team ever was, but another school I was impressed with was that 1999 High Point Central team, just a flat out phenomenal team, super fast, players that excelled in track, too, most notably Chuckie Reed.

Ill be the first to say there were Reidsville teams with bigger stars but top to bottom last year's team was hard to beat. Absolutely no weak spots.

No team when the weather was nice was stopping kendon, jerome, wayne blackwell, Raphael, and Antoine Terry from that 2003 team

in 1998 when we played them I thought (This team will be unreal next year as most were underclassmen) Not positive but I hear tell, 98 Champ was instrumental in calling the fake punt down in High Point night :) that was a great ball game...

I'm too young to remember all of the Pisgah state championship teams from the 70's. So, I'll keep it in my lifetime and say the 2006 Pisgah team. (I was on that team, so I'm trying my best not to be biased.) Lol.

Nice catch and run touchdown on the first play of the game versus Shelby in the Western Finals that year, it's you.;)

'82 Brevard as they were the only state championship team. Teams that I've actually seen play would be '99 and '02 Brevard teams.

2007 Reidsville team was 16-0...avg. scoring 48.1 pts. per game...giving up 11.6........
2016 Reidsville team was 16-0..avg. 52.2 pts. per game...giving up 7.1....

2008 and 2009 teams were also 16-0
1970 Rams were 12-0-1....avg....26.1 pts. per game....giving up 5.2 (the game played then was a lot different than now in some ways)...

Brevard 004 grad the 1960 Brevard team was also unbeaten at 13-0 and a state champion and a heck of one....I saw them as a 10yr. old beat Reidsville 39-6 in playoffs

For us I would say the 93 wolves with the 2010 team not far behind. 2005 team was good as well.

East Bladen's 2003 and 2006 teams were 1 and 2. 2003 had Kevin Richardson (App St) and Desmond Bryant(Raiders/Browns). 2006 team was the fastest team. Both went undefeated throughout the season and lost in the Eastern Finals to the eventual State Champions SWO and James Kenan in super close games. It was a shame neither team made it to the finals.

Yep! 2016 for me, though, so much depth on that team, as was the case with that '86 team.

You miiight be a little biased...nah. It is definitely one of our best teams since I been watching. Offense and defense were both crazy good. It's funny. because when I think of those 80's teams they seem so big. But I was just a kid, I guess. They were probably no bigger than our teams now.

So - I've heard you say no running team could beat us now...what about 86 Lions? Would our 2016 defense be able to stop that running offense?

Good question, because every player in that backfield went D1, which was incredible. However, the 2016 team would have defeated that team, in my opinion, too much depth and size, and those teams back then couldn't defend the pass, because everyone was running those old, one dimensional offenses back then, practiced and played against the run only. We went to the championship in '88 in hopes of 3 peating and got smoked, because that was the first time we ever saw The Spread, and a team that could throw it all over the place. Chuckie Burnett and Burlington Williams bombarded that team with an air assault not ever seen in Shelby.

Actually Cummings not Williams. That team was crazy good with the "day glow" striped ball

1996 Red Tornado team is our best candidate. I'd also put our '66 and '79 team right behind them in representing our school.

@whitemilesdavis

Now, if they were running the Spread back then with the players on that Shelby team, then we may be having a different conversation. That team featured some of the best athletes that ever came through Shelby, and there was depth at every position.

Great teams being mentioned, but not one would score over 10 against the 1995 Thomasville Bulldogs.
