Who would you rather have next year Wallace or Russell?

Russell. I could look good as a qb if all i had to do was throw

to Moncreif to score points. All the guy does is run fly patterns and deep posts and he's wide open. Russell CLEARLY is the better passer and has shown that with the right players on offense, he is very effective. Wallace has so much speed at his disposal, his job is pretty easy.

You must be high. Russell put up 3,000 yards, 20+ TD's and half as many INT's as Wallace WITHOUT a future NFL WR, and Wallace had the benefit of no one respecting him.

Wallace kept a lot of plays alive but he killed drives just as often. He's nothing but a glorified highlight reel.

Hahahaha nice troll question...
Wallace had 15 interceptions and what atleast 10 fumbles. Russell could throw the ball farther and better than Wallace can today when TR was in 8th grade.

Wallace is like Brett Favre on a bad day. A really bad day. At USM.

This.

Just as Mullen came in during his first year and leveraged what little strengths we had into a competitive team... I think this year proved that we don't have the personnel to run a pass-heavy spread offense. This is going to be very, very unpopular, but I want Dak Prescott to start next year.

And for the record, I think Tyler is the best QB that we've ever had on campus. Tyler, in the right offense (like Bama's), could be the best QB in the nation. But his style just doesn't fit the other pieces we have on offense right now. We're more set up for a run-heavy option like what Tebow ran.

It's all about using what personnel you have to make your team better... and I think we'd be a better team with a running QB who can pass.

Edited to say: When I say that this year proved that we don't have the personnel to run a pass-heavy spread... I say that because we didn't really move the ball versus any team that had a pulse on defense. If we dropped 30 points against Bama, aTm, LSU, or OM, this statement would be invalid. But I think everyone can agree that when we played teams who had a clue on defense, we struggled mightly on offense.

C'mon man. The best pro style QB we have thought about having is under center right now for MSU.

Here is the problem. As smokey would say.... We have Kool aid but no suga, peanut butter no jelly, ham no burger.

We need a Moulds with Russell. Moulds would have had record after record with a QB that could throw. We needed the 2010 OL with Russell. This OL would look better with Dak behind it. This group of recievers would look better with Dak because of the running threat. We have a stable full of RBs but thin now at experienced WRs. Etc etc.

But we are fine as far as QB goes. We just need the right supporting cast.

Bo has more yards, better comp %, and a better qb rating with 30 fewer attempts. He also accounted for nearly 400 yards rushing and caught a td. The only thing keeping Bo from being the better qb is his ints. But i feel very confident that will get better since he is just a soph and this was his first year in the sec.

He also did all this against a tougher overall schedule.

Prescott his numbers rating and restricted performance speaks for itself. But Tyler is an asset for sure.

Yeah the only thing keeping me from the NBA is that I'm a 5'10" white guy with a 4" vertical and no jump shot.

This question is laughable.

We have waited for a Tyler Russell to play at MSU for at least 25 years. Now everyone is saying he doesn't fit our "system." The truth is we have a 17ed system then. In 25 years we had some good running games, but no SEC championship. We knew 3 years ago that Tyler would be the QB. We should have a "system" that works with him by now. That's the definition of coaching. Maybe we are waiting on the next Cam Newton. Hopefully we negotiate better the next time. With the lack of running lanes created by our offensive line, we need a Cam to have a chance at running successfully. I guess we don't have to worry about losing our coach to the pros.
