Good thing Indy offense is keeping their defense off the field.Indiana defense is gassed. No pass rush at all.
The people who say NIL means we can’t compete. Indiana just went 16-0 and won the natty. If they can do it, anybody can.Indiana just won the national championship....unreal. I am glad though. This proves any P4 can do it.
Yea but I don't think they did it with NIL is the thing. This roster doesn't have a lot 4 star players and no 5 stars I don't think. They did this with an ELITE coach. NVM I misread your post...ughThe people who say NIL means we can’t compete. Indiana just went 16-0 and won the natty. If they can do it, anybody can.
Trust me they bought the players they wanted. Several will be first round picks.Yea but I don't think they did it with NIL is the thing. This roster doesn't have a lot 4 star players and no 5 stars I don't think. They did this with an ELITE coach. NVM I misread your post...ugh
NIL and transfer portal means that blue bloods can’t just stockpile athletes at every position. The talent is more spread out now. More teams have a chance to compete for titles.Yea but I don't think they did it with NIL is the thing. This roster doesn't have a lot 4 star players and no 5 stars I don't think. I think its a bit misleading to say that just because XYZ Big 10 school with 60,000 students, 800,000 living alumni (most with well-paying jobs / advanced degrees), and several billionaire donors including Mark Cuban did something, that anybody can do it.The people who say NIL means we can’t compete. You do know that Mark Cuban is bankrolling them right? Any P4 with a billionaire backing them can do it.The people who say NIL means we can’t compete. Indiana just went 16-0 and won the natty. If they can do it, anybody can.

Saw a clip from Colin Cowherd. I know he's an anti-SEC blowhard, but what he said made some sense. He said only about 10 elite college football programs will survive at the top in this new era. Only SEC schools were Texas, A&M (and maybe Florida). Others were Texas Tech (oil money), Notre Dame, Ohio St., Oregon, Indiana, maybe Michigan and/or Miami, and Southern Cal. Said he's not sure about Georgia. They've got some money, but there's like 15 Fortune 500 companies headquartered in Georgia, there are over 50 in Texas and California. These schools all just have a LOT more money than anyone in the SEC besides the 3 you mention and maybe Georgia. We'll see. But so far, he's being proved right. Big 10I don’t think many people realize how much more money literally every B1G school has, as compared to about just about every SEC school except UF, Texas, and Texas A&M.
Well, they have Mendoza as a 1st rounder, and obviously that’s a pretty big deal. He’s probably the only 1st rounder, though. They have a LT and a couple WR’s that will go in Top 3-4 rounds. Beyond that, they have a team full of Bookie Watsons….older experienced players that are pretty good but not elite. That’s the core of the team. But those guys cost a lot of money, too.Trust me they bought the players they wanted. Several will be first round picks.

Smith, Sarratt, Ponds, and Cooper do not have 1st/2nd round grades. Nowhere near unanimously, anyway. Most sites have all of them going 3rd-5th round. That’s not saying one couldn’t have a good combine and sneak into the 1st round, but I guarantee you 100% that IU does not have four 1st round picks in the 2026 draft.First 2 rounds NFL rospects from Indiana and Miami. What is crazy is that both teams have freshmen and sophomores that would be drafted if they were ellible yet. Both schools are expected to have 5 go in the first 2 rounds. This narrative that "Indiana doesn't buy players" is about as naive as saying Bama never has and never will.
