Why did we not play some zone defense last night?

Hood got abused by playing man on Diggs last night.
We had no help defense on the backside when anyone got beat by their man.
Stans used to play zone early in the year, until our man defense got better.
I think that would have made a big difference in how Akron was playing offense last night, not saying we would have won, but you never know..

if any one of the 5 defenders is slacking, it will be abused beyond belief.

IN man, you can deny the best 2 players and force the other three to beat you.

Fact was, they had 3-4 players that were very capable of scoring and we never were able to shut them down.

Bost and Moultrie worked hard. The rest just got abused.

With their coach and our talent, we could go DEEP in the tournament. Even without Sidney.

playing quicker and beating us off the dribble for open shots all night. They had a good plan, were confident and executed their plan to perfection. I don't know why their coach wouldn't be in 34's top 5, he obviously knows what he is doing.
