You don't have to have equal or better talent to beat another team. I was simply refuting his claim that consistant 15th ranked classes would make us the 4th most talented team in the conference.

You're putting way too much faith in the accuracy of those ratings.

If we are consistently around top 15, the talent we get will be good enough to be a second tier SEC team. We'll still have to get some breaks to compete with LSU and Bama (or whoever at that time is on top), and some years we'll have breaks go against us, but generally, classes consistently in the top 15 will result in enough talent to be right with the next group of teams in the SEC.
