Haven't heard much about M2 since DT moved on. How is the club doing on the national scene? Are they still able to bring in top-notch kids or has that changed without DT's name on the door? This is incredible. The 2 clubs we need to continue the pipeline with are KD and AWA. AWA might be different going forward with Ben’s situation but Max is a great coach as well. Ben will continue being a top level coach it just might take a bit for him to have his focus and energy there. I know KD has another young hammer coming so let’s keep It going.
I think they still get a lot of the better kids from Central PA in, but I’m not so sure they get as many as when DT was at the helm. Chance seems to have a good foothold in the Lehigh Valley/D3 area so that’s obviously going to pull some kids his direction that might’ve gone to M2 when DT was there.Haven't heard much about M2 since DT moved on. Pyles makes a good case for 133:
Somebody really good like maybe Ragusin won't place.
He predicts we have seven finalists…
…without mentioning Ono… I’m curious why he didn’t even mention the possibility (at 141)… I don’t know if he thinks he’s redshirting, or not good enough.
I can’t argue against his choices at 197, but I wouldn’t rule out Rocco… like Ferrari and McEnelly, he had a very narrow loss to Carter(albeit when Carter was injured)… but also, he’s getting a different set of coaches!
I had only remembered Rocco’s finals loss to injured Carter… I had forgotten that he had ALSO kept it close with UN-injured Carter in the dual…. so by that measure, similar to Ferrari, though I don’t recall how the dual match looked. On Ono, it's probably a combination of 1) not knowing if he'll be 133 or 141, 2) not knowing if he'll redshirt, and 3) never having seen him wrestle folkstyle
With regards to 184, McEnelly seems like a solid choice. In limited action last season, Ferrari looked very good. Picking him at this point seems to be a bit of an educated guess, as opposed to stemming from straight analysis. And while Welsh redshirted last season, he made it to the 174 finals as a true freshman, so it's almost as though he's being slighted by Pyles. (He went 26-5 as a true frosh, with his only losses being to Edmond Ruth, 1-2, Shane Griffith, 1-2, Starocci, 2-4, Edmond Ruth, 1-4, SV1, and the NCAA final, to Starocci, 0-2.)

As I recall, Carter wrestled cautiously against Ferrari, but never seemed in danger of losing…vs McEnelly, it looked like more of an even matchup, with Carter gutting out a late takedown, similar to his matches with Keckeisen.
Meanwhile, somehow the up’n down Edm. Ruth seemed to have Rocco’s number!
