You mean to tell me that a bunch of 12 year old middle school boys made the decision to go to Swain to play for a football team, who at the time was struggling on the varsity level? AND, since some of you are so obsessed with success as a youth league team, had DOMINATED and won many cracker bowls as Cherokee Braves just randomly decided to pack up and go to Swain. Panther attended Swain throughout elementary school and just played for Cherokee. Wildcat, Parker and Tisho all attended Swain County Schools longer than Cherokee.

Please find me where I stated Tisho was nothing for the Swain program. I believe I stated he was a non-contributing factor for the 2011 team because he TRANSFERRED to Cherokee.

Seth Curtis never went to school at Hiwassee Dam that I'm aware of, pretty sure he went to Ranger Middle and kids that attend Ranger Middle can choose to go to Murphy High. All the kids in the Ranger and Hiwassee Dam area that play youth league football have to play at Murphy or Copper Basin TN because Ranger and Hiwassee Dam don't have youth football or any football .
So no, it's not at all the same thing as a kid playing youth ball at Cherokee and then playing for Swain. Seth Curtis only options to play high school football was either Murphy or go out of state to Tennessee or Georgia.

the only reason Swain didn't have to contend with Hendo that year, was because Mitchell downed them in the 2nd round. The bearcats were very good that year.
Hunter Shope went to Ranger as did my son Riley. My oldest son went directly into Murphy when we moved to Murphy. Hunter and Riley both transferred from Ranger to Murphy Middle to play football because it's not offered at HD. It's a different circumstance.
So if a kid goes to HD/Ranger and wants to play football they can enroll at Murphy High? How many kids go to HD high school?
I've not known any to go from HD. I'm not sure what HD numbers are, HD is K -12 not sure what the high school numbers are.

Swain made it to the 4th round for 4 consecutive years (2011-2014). The reason they didn't get a chance to play Hendersonville in 2011 is because they got BEAT by Mitchell. Albemarle got BEAT by a Murphy team that swain handled easily 28-0 in a cold down pour at Boyce Deitz field.

Well there is only one team that consistently plays in 1AA so it basically depends on their success in how the west does! Not real good odds but they have done pretty well.
An that same year Albemarle easily handled a West Montgomery team that Swain struggled with all night.

Sorry I'm not seeing the issue here. Kids from Ranger Middle attend Murphy High instead of Hiwassee Dam High all the time, it's not as if they are designated to go to Hiwassee Dam.
I could name at least 15 kids from my graduating class that went to Murphy from Ranger Middle that never played a down of football at Murphy High.

Hiawassee Dam has there own elementary school as does ranger or at least they used to. They only identify their self as HDR for middle school sports .
That's for middle school sports, because they have combined teams. There's no Ranger/Hiwassee Dam school, they're separate.
Part of the Cherokee Indian reservation lies in Jackson county and part in swain county so natives can choose from three high schools where they choose to go swain smoky mnt. or Cherokee central.for the most part the natives that choose swain or smoky do so in elementary school so they really not transfers.hell we could combine swain and Cherokee and wouldn't be much bigger than murphy in enrollment.lmao
Goodness I guess the conspiracy are warranted b/c of the constant nagging about Swain/Cherokee, Murphy ADM, P&J (or was it Stanley?? Haha, heard that one). The bottom line is that this conjecture spills out every single year and the reason is solely because none of us on here can definitively prove a thing. What does crying around about it do? Does it prove anything other than getting people badmouthing one another. The only thing that can silence this is winning. Nc nole fan no we didn't have to play Thomasville .or hendersonville(who we beat 50 something to 17 the next year) but we beat a very talented west Montgomery team with the capel kid at qb that was dangerously fast and a very good Ayden Griffin team in title game.the next year we beat a very very good Monroe team and lost the title,game to southwest Onslow.show me that in,1A anywhere in 1A.Murphy needs to grow a set and come play where they belong.Allegheny Mitchell and now robbinsville to get to gas the buses up.id be ashamed if i didn't win title every year.shame on you murphy.you not going to get me to believe in any way playing Allegheny,however you spell it,mitchell,and robbinsville is on same radar as playing undefeated hendersonville Monroe then sw Onslow.
