Would you be calling for Sabans head?

Saban wouldn't have a horrible football team in year three. It's a pointless question.

And if he did he would probably be offered the Bama job and bolt bc he's nick Saban. Yes experience and track record matter when you evaluate a coach. No one expects championships but athletic directors put a lot of emphasis on year three when they evaluate. 3/4 of the team is yours. The guys you brought in. If there is regression in year three or stagnation that is a significant problem. 4 years bc you had those guys since freshman year. You can't get it done year three and have no track record then it's time for a new coach. Instead we will prolong the misery one more season bc of idiot ad who doesn't know how to negotiate a deal nor how to be honest in his eval process.

Again, I am pointing at that it is the same in the historical context. I clearly state that.
Here are your words where it CLEARLY STATES OTHERWISE

But UF was about as good as USC and Mizzou this year. So beating a UF team that is equivalent to this years USC and Mizz team would have been a quality win, but not those that they are equivalent to?

So let's say you did mean it in a historical context, even though your words where it is underlined clearly state that you were talking about the specific teams because you in fact used the word TEAM not PROGRAM HISTORICALLY. That means you're calling UF historically equivalent to USC and mizzou. Whichever way you try to twist your point. Youre clueless. Even though it's obvious you were talking about the specific teams.

You like walking? He's a great coach but not known for miracles.

It wouldn't have been a Miracle this year with the talent we had and what Saban could have had in year 3. IMO Saban would have won the Florida, Auburn, Vandy and Louisville game this year... Not too bad.

Team and program are the same in my mind when referring to a certain school. And no, I am not saying those teams are historically as good as UF. I am saying to US, they have over the last 30 years beaten us most time and have actually dominated us at times. So, historically, they are equivalent when it comes to quality wins because we haven't beaten them much.

Jeez man. Whatever no point with you, whatshisface was right no point in trying even when your own words suggest the opposite of what you say. Read this thread and notice how many times you contradict yourself. It's epic.

Saban MIGHT have a couple of bad years while rebuilding here...but the losses wouldn't have involved mistakes you typically see during pee wee football.
That is probably true if you are talking about the present. I don't actually know, but he probably had his share of mistakes his first 3 years of coaching. No one knows.

He made some mistakes his first year at Alabama where he had some games vacated. He had several years of experience too. You are never to old to learn. jmho

I get the feeling that their is a double standard because Stoops is a first time coach. If Saban was at UK and if he had the same record would these fans still be asking for Sabans head? Would they be saying he needs more time, he needs better recruits, he needs to create depth to be successful in the SEC? What if it was Leach, or Petrino, or any coach? What if Brooks came back and had the same record would they be given a pass?

Just wondering.

If the program isn't performing there will always be a crowd who think the world is ending. I don't care who is coaching.

I feel like Stoops hasn't had enough time.

So.......follow your post to its logical conclusion........how about we bring in a proven, experienced coach with a real track record?

I believe Jim Tressel is available.
Been there, done that, remember Bill Curry? His last year at Alabama he was 10-2. Surely he wouldn't have us bad in year 3 or in year 7
