It's not gaining an advantage anymore, Playing the game puts us back on even ground. Like I said in another post, if recruiting was fair, We would have had Cam Newton lead us to the Sugar or Capital One last year and a heck of a freshman class on campus. But open and blatant cheating killed our past 2 classes. Even the best 17n recruiter out there can't sell early playing time, team unity, atmosphere, and facilities over 180K, a new z71 truck, and a new Camaro. <div>
</div><div>So what do we do? Watch as highly touted commits suddenly think a team that wins some big games and makes a new year's day bowl along with an asswhipping of Michigan doesn't look so hot anymore and decides to suddenly open his recruitment back up around UM influence and go to a team that sat home, lost to previous mentioned team twice in a row, has no positive leader on offense, Coach that is on hotseat from fans, and previously yanked off your lanyard holding your visitors credentials for supposedly cheering for the previously mentioned team? We can pull in the guys that "really want to be at MSU" and rather not be at Tulane, Memphis, Troy, and UAB for the sake of keeping our noses clean and taking the high road. Meanwhile we ***** and moan as the diamonds in the rough lose to LSU, Bama, Arkansas, Auburn, USC, and Florida while squeeking out wins against LA Tech and UAB. </div><div>
</div><div>Hey I hate the idea of greasing a few palms as much as anyone else... but the NCAA just showed us that money talks. Now Pryor being a part of an Ohio State loan a car program isn't that big of a deal now is it? AU sliding a daddy a cool 180 to 200k is a heck of a deal for some big ratings and another multi million dollar check from the SEC. 180k for millions is a good business decision for the Indianapolis Mafia. Now on to a small school with an indian nickname or gave a discount on clothing to make an example out of.</div>
