Noticed Carino did not write this one

Where’s Carino and his expose journalism?

He’ll mock RU fans at the RAC over Schiano?

He’ll make up a story about RU fans booing?

But a real significant story and he is no where to be found? He’ll rip RU but not the mighty Penn State?
Carino has since written something up this morning about it being a bad look for PSU or something. I think I saw that @Knight Shift updated a post of his around mid-morning in the long thread.

Student sections behind the opposing team's bench is a poor idea and invites trouble. Non-student, season ticket holders can be bad enough. But these days, it seems kids are more and more brazen as they test the boundaries and get free passes by those with authority. If this is true, it's even one more reason to add to the pile in order to cement the Cultists as d'bags.

Carino has since written something up this morning about it being a bad look for PSU or something. I think I saw that @Knight Shift updated a post of his around mid-morning in the long thread.
Carino update:

"Penn State Athletics, as well as other university administrators, is aware of the reported interactions between the student section and the Rutgers men’s basketball team Sunday. We have been in communication with the leaders of the Legion of Blue student group, and we do not condone the inappropriate actions of some individuals on Sunday night. The Legion of Blue has been tremendous supporters of Penn State Basketball for many years and have historically represented themselves in a positive manner while cheering on the Nittany Lions. These reported actions are out of character for the group and its leadership is aware of behavioral expectations for all fans. Noncompliance may warrant ejection from the venue, as well as the possibility of revocation of tickets and, in some cases, reference to the authorities. Fan conduct is important to the experience of all teams and visitors to Penn State and our goal is to create an environment that is competitive, but welcoming."

Was there anyone on this board who was there and heard anything that they can share? It's a big place, so that may not be possible. Just curious...

Raised in India, Bendapudi moved to the United States to pursue her doctoral studies Hopefully she'll take what you send her and try and do something about it..
As Louisville's President , she went after a major donor because of his use of a racial slur by taking his name off Louisville's stadium

Just to keep this thread balanced, I'll chime in and say I think Jerry Carino is an excellent journalist and is entitled to his opinions. He gives very good insight into the world of college basketball.
everyone has an opinion, mine is a little different about Jerry C.and feel he would fit in very well as a NJ.com hack
Knows the game and how to put Rutgers down , while making himself look like he's just expressing what he feels is going on.

I have a hard time believing any of this. I just can't see that happening and NOBODY around did anything

I know not the point but I can't stand when the media perpetuate a lie.

The BYU/Duke incident that they reference was debunked as a hoax. They had hours of video tape and found nothing. No one corroborated the accuser's accusations and the kid eject for life who was on the spectrum had his privileges reinstated. Which is why it died quickly in the press.

I can't think of a more reliable source than the VP of their student support group. And this was not in response to any claim by RU. As someone already noted, he self-reported it. But, it's over now. I'm certainly not surprised PSU is essentially pretending it didn't happen.

Please stop this and begin involuntarily burping out words like “pedophile” and “pennsyltucky” and pointing out who’s out to get us and the bias and intentional wrongdoings that swirl around and attack Rutgers basketball every day. Please come with stories about your neighbors’ kids who chose to go to PSU being complete jerks and the wise and knowing ones who visited and immediately saw what we all see. Tell a joke about what’s between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Are you part of the cult (theirs, not ours)? We’re you born in Pedophile, Pennsyltucky? You’re suspect. In the least, you’re a sportswriter.

The right thing to do here, is to burn the entire University to the ground and turn it back into farmland.

Is Penn State effectively saying they are not investigating, but spoke to the group leader and said "don't let it happen again"?

They probably just keep the same letter from the 70s and change the date and disgusting action that occurred on that crudhole campus.

The alumni reps on their board are dominated by people that think the great injustice at Happy Valley was forcing out JoePa.

The ridiculous part of the whole thing is that they are hanging their hats on the fact no one from RU heard the slurs, when it was reported by their own fans. I guess they are applying the tree falling in the forest principle to their "investigation".
