Before I start this post, I want to preface it with a few things.

1) This was emailed to me by a friend who has been in law enforcement for 10 years and he served on special task force for this topic. He is definitely an expert.

2) This isnt rumor or innuendo. This is pulled straight form the kids public twitter w/ commentary from an expert. All of that said, I figured it was ok to post.

3) Even with this info, if KM would have stuck with MSU, I wouldn't support dropping him. I would still want him here in hopes that he could get his life together for his future.

4)I'm bolding everything that was sent to me. Not my words.

The main things I wonder is how prevalent this is with all the kids? Is it widespread or is Kailo an isolated incident? I say this with sincere honesty. That kid needs to get on a college campus asap and get around positive influences.

Here's some excerpts from Kailo Moore's public twitter:

@K_Moore5 Just realized it was 9-22-12

22 Sept

@K_Moore5 The number 5 is apart of me
23 July

Now 1 of his RT's
@K_Moore5 RT @_YungSavageBoy: SuWoo to da bee hive!
#PlayaNation 1-22-12-14
1958 Chicago Illinois.......#RNS
20 Jun

When Kailo was a recruit we were going to get, I followed him on twitter and was amazed by what I was reading. He is very adament and upfront about being a gang member. Let me explain. 1st tweet- referencing those numbers is a clear gang communication. The corresponding letters in the alphabet are IVL which stands for Insane Vice Lords (street gang out of Chicago). 2nd tweet- This is a reference to the 5 point star which is 1 of the main symbols affiliated with this gang. He is basically saying, "the gang is a part of me". 3rd tweet- The most blatant one yet. This tweet contains the Vice Lords birth year and birthplace. The corresponding letters in this one is AVLN which stands for Almighty Vice Lord Nation. The gang also refers to themselves as "playas" hence the playa nation. When you add this to the fact that he wears #5 (another gang identification) and always seems to be wearing red in his pictures, there is not doubt Kailo Moore is a Vice Lord.

Our group of friends in the 3rd grade called ourselves the Vice Lords. We then changed it to Centabytes when our parents found out and made us change. True story.

Thats funny

Also quick question DS. When I tried to bold 1 specific part of the text, the formatting for the whole thing went crazy. It changed the fonts and sizes and all kinds of weird stuff. Probably from copy pasting from an email?

Yea - when you do that - paste it to notepad first then copy it to here and do the editing.

I'm afraid this is just a little too transparent. But the effort is noteworthy. Our side's psy ops are just too damn elementary.

lol

I was in a "gang" in school too. We would ride our bikes together. Talk smack to the other "gang" at school. Maybe even had a couple of fistfights. The next day, we would all be friends. Go swing on the swings and slide on the slides ....

Thug life! I miss it. Things were much simpler when everything in life could be solved by a McDonald's Happy Meal.

I got an email from an expert in the field of banking

He told me that if I would just invest $9.99, an Saudi prince would give me $3.65 million in ten years. Such a good investment

I guess if your friend was a Saudi Prince it would be comparable. Heaven forbid I have a friend who is a cop. I thought it was an interesting topic. I've been wrong before and apparently am this time too. Guess I got Teo'd

Speaking of Godfrey

This is my favorite recruiting post of the year so far. The bar has been set.

I guess since it wasnt a witty opinion piece you have an issue. I hope he turns out ok. In sports there are too many Dontae Walker & Darren Williams stories. If you choose not to believe me on that, not my issue.

This is a good post and not out of the norm for young black males to act all hard and rep.

Most of our young 'playas' have some type of gang affiliation....its nothing new and nothing we can do about it. I don't have an issue with it...its their will.

If people didn't have these 'playas' on their football teams...heck there wouldn't be any football.

And I too was in a gang in school. White and Black...we where called FLU (Females Love Us)....no joke. We disbanded back in '93

In about the 3rd grade

A friend of mine decided that he was in the crypts and started wearing blue bandanas all the time. One day we were out riding bikes and i wrecked and skint my knee. I told him, "Look I'm a blood now". He wanted to fight, so I laughed at him, and then we fought.

Interesting this gang is Chicago based. Didn't they get a huge commit from someone up there? Treadwell??

I was actually a gang leader in elementary school.

We owned the area from the swings to the giant slide. The opposing gang had the area near the band hall and tennis courts. The areas near the see-saws, the bathroom, and water fountain were neutral ground.

you should have made a move on the bathrooms and the fountain. If you controlled those, you controlled the school.

does ole miss allow their players to carry a concealed handgun on campus? Or do they insist you take the classes and get the permit?

Questions.

You think that "young black males" have a propensity "to act all hard and rep"?

You also believe that "most" of these young black males "have some type of gang affiliation." In fact, you believe that so many young black males have gang affiliations that without such players "heck there wouldn’t be any football."

So if I understand you correctly, you think most young black males behave like thugs and are in gangs.

Seems like a pretty simple-minded, stereotypical characterization, no?

The Big Slide Bloods and the Tennis Court Crips.

Y'all should have taken your crayons and tagged everything in sight with a big BS.

BS. Big Slide. Gangstas.

NO

Wake up fella....Yes just about everyone one of these guys have a brother, cousin or friend who is in a gang...that makes them affiliated. This tweet is a good example. And if you know anything about their culture, well you might since you may be one, you know very well how influenced they are by today's music and the messages they send out. And most young black males take root in this.

You are simple minded by using the term stereotypical and not realizing how society operates these days. And I dont give a 17 what you think. I am just going off my personal experience and what I have been told and know from the black community and my years of experience in knowing such people.

And by the way....I dont give 17 what you say....and I dont give a 17 about your folk music...keep singing

Follow-up questions:

What is "their culture"?

From where do you derive your information regarding the gang activity of young black males? Are you a sociologist?

You say that I "may be one." One what?

Thanks.

Twas 1995... Meridian MS.... Were known around those parts as The Goon Squad

We would terrorize the playground with our bad *** Reebok Pumps and pick on the kids that wore Nike Pressure and LA Gear Regulators.

Then we would sit on the swings and eat candy cigarettes and bubble gum.

Really? An MSU fan running smack about our football players having handguns...

The last time I went to Starkville I had to take my wife's car, because I was worried I would get shot.

Here is a picture of my car:

that is a sweet ride. those are 24's. Candy on chrome.

I am simply asking what the mississippi concealed handgun laws are? And if ole miss holds their student athletes to those laws on campus. would you consider kailo a 1%er?

You are welcome.

You should run for Mayor since you seem like a person for the people....and bring the world together with Folk Songs....O wait...you may not want to do that because Folks is a gang from Chicago and you could be affiliated.

Maybe you should go back to making art by Eckies pond made out of twigs, yarn and bricks.
