If it were me I'd go with "Rocky Rhodes??" for the ice cream.

Maybe not

Who's the guy who got fired from AEW because of his old social media posts and went back to TNA? For some reason I thought it was Ace Austin.
I think he was one of the Rascals' dudes, IIRC

Should have kept it in New Orleans. Unchecked greed always comes back to bite you in the as* eventually though.

Maybe they can use their AI to fill in the thousands of empty seats.

I'd guess in a month, they'd get real close to a sellout. Less than 5k tickets isn't that big an ask.

There's 68K seats on the map. They've barely reached half a sellout. They did 60K in that same stadium last year.
It's a relevant talking point as tickets are too expensive, the uniqueness is gone because it's Vegas 2.0, and the product isn't as hot. But you're beating it into the ground with the alarmist posts every couple days. You didn't do this as attendance for All In dropped year-to-year. What was it, 70,000+ to 45,000 to 24,000? I just don't think it's fair to try and have it both ways. A segment of the AEW fanbase won't say a word if Dynamite has an audience of 2500. I've even seen some say they like having less people as it makes for a more "intimate experience." But then those same fans will mock or raise (fake) concern for WWE if Wrestlemania doesn't do as well or better than the previous year.

Give this take a break for a couple weeks.

Yes but AEW isn’t a publicly traded company who needs to maximize profits at every turn. It’s a different business model with different goals. You’re comparing apples to oranges.

And fake concern? Is it fake when WWE themselves are concerned? Stories come out multiple times a week about how WWE is concerned with something WrestleMania related because they are panicking over the lackluster (relative to last year) ticket sales.

When the company goes on TV and brags in front of everyone watching and in the crowd about how they are bleeding the fans dry with their greed and when they are screwing over cities and the fans around the area by backing out on already agreed upon deals, they are going to get mocked and ridiculed for it when the chickens come home to roost. If you don’t like it then grow thicker skin.

How many times are they going to run a Drew McIntyre quits angle?

McIntyre vs. Fatu might even have me turn on Smackdown. After it’s aired, of course, so I can skip over everything else

Fightful increased their subscription price to bankroll this piece of garbage.

Yeah, the intention is to sell more merch.

How long was the guy laying there? It's the bad thing about it being the guy in charge that got hurt. They guys in the ring may have just thought he was doing a really good job of selling.

I think Cornette said it was a minute or two.

Thoughts? Because AEW has had this problem too with MJF for a good bit of his time as a heel once he got established as a top guy. And to some degree the recent Swerve turn. And then Christian's dead father thing was getting cheers too lol.

What is he trying to say? Is he upset fans like cheering the cool guy whether they are face or heel?

I just think you're doing a performance here, a gimmick. You posted on page one or two that we should be less tribalistic, including yourself. It comes off as disingenuous that you're concerned about WM attendance yet brush off AEW's version going from 70k+ to 24kish in three years. Massive drop-off, no? But as you said, different models and goals, right? That's some major spin. Wanna talk attendance? Raw on Mon. will do around 13k; Dynamite still ranges from 2500-4000. But WWE is the panicked company. Those chickens are coming home anytime...

The tribalism is annoying and stupid. I blame a lot of it on Meltzer. In the last few months, he's created 'Meltzer Math' which told him Dynamite somehow has more viewers than Raw. He keeps saying WWE is way, way ahead but AEW is "closing the gap." I think today he said Fletcher will be way better than Breakker in the future. Where did that even come from? I've never thought of one of them and then the other. He wants this constant AEW vs WWE thing, even when it doesn't make sense.

Yup I agree social media and iwc has created tribalism -back in the wwf/wcw wars everyone watched both and we talked “in person” about how much fun both shows were. Social media thrives on division because it creates clicks and etc.

I’ll never agree with it but I understand the rationale. Ultimately, one issue I’ve always had with WWE is how they tell their fans what to like and over time they win. Been a wrestling fan since childhood, although I’m currently a little disinterested and only watch certain PPVS (didn’t say PLEs) — I can say for sure that the qualities that make up a GOAT to me are more than:

- How much the performer was a yes man to management

- How much merch and brand power

- Longevity

^ Almost all of Cena’s accomplishments, other than his elite mic skills , are wrapped up in those. Oh and nostalgia at this point. If he is truly the GOAT of wrestling, it really isn’t dying. It’s a dead art form.
I know you don't remember him, but I was always partial to Rowdy Roddy Piper.

You have been nuts about Ciampa since he premiered in aew. Is he your brother?
Dragon is the one that said they shouldn’t have signed him - it’s hand a 40 year old the belt and put him in purgatory.

Where’s lashley? Shelton? Edge? Christian? Jericho?
