Myrle T. Beringer did play by play for the Bulldogs on the radio for years. He got sick last year and missed all of last season. He passed away Sunday night. Myrle (sounds like Merle) was a really likeable guy. Very friendly. I met him when I first went to a WRH game to sit with @dogs79 and @olddog77 as he was part of their "crew" when not doing the radio. He loved high school football as all of us here do. I'll never forget him. I'll link his obituary.

Thank you so much Otis and your wife for coming to Myrle’s Memorial. Otis had taken a picture of him and Myrle in April of 21 at Reidsville with their radio headsets on. The Memorial had that picture displayed. Thank you for picking up the tab at Rose Hill restaurant. I’ll get you back. How was that fresh made lemon blueberry Pie?

So sorry to learn of his passing. Tuned into many Bulldog games while at DarkHorse games and we’d listen to post game stuff traveling back from road DarkHorse games. My deepest condolences to his family and Bulldog community🙏
