You never had a team clown boy, so your team is never playing.....

I've always had connections in Wallace, nephews played on the team. Relax old man, don't worry about what I type...
Even though youre typing to me, I'm not worried about what you type

Now go to the woods and sniff the dogs behind like you been doing the whole thread

You need to see their offensive line, uh it has something to do with it!
Wiz, I agree, watched some of WRH highlights earlier tonight and the O line does a very good job blocking. It will be a difficult task for my Lions to stop. I also saw a pass defense that seemed very confused and playing way off the ball. If WRH plays like that against this quick strike offense that Shelby has it will be a difficult day for WRH. What if both teams are successful doing what they do, then it will be a high scoring barn burner of a game. Oh and by the way just to let everyone know Shelby has developed a run game past 6 games, that may play a factor also.

I still see boxers there doing their roadwork.
I went there one day to change the padmount transformer out there. I went inside to get up with Don Turner and they had a young fella from Philly in there training for a welter weight fight. Don asked me was I interested in getting in the ring as a sparring partner. I was 50 years old at the time and got this young white dude smiling at me like he was going to eat my lunch. ( I'm white too for those that don't know me. Otis should give that away. Ask Chopper) I looked at him and told him if I was still 25 years old I'd get in that ring and take the smile off his face. But seriously he was a nice looking kid. Strong looking. I think he was in line for a title fight back then. 12 yrs ago. I did sit down and watch them a while. It was interesting as he had his hands taped with no gloves. They were doing footwork drills. Another guy had a notebook calling out different scenarios and each time the boxer would move his feet and shift his body. It was not like anything I expected to see. I went back after hearing Holyfield was going to fight again hoping to be able to meet him. Don told me he was not going to be involved in that. He had advised against it and wanted nothing to do with it. But yes he still trains fighters there. They jog down the Rd to Don Lee Rd and towards the river when they are in training camp there.

I joined Merle at the hospital to listen Motsinger on the morning show on kix100.5. Kevin said we gonna win this game. O line doesn't care how many D1 players Shelby has. Said they took six dogs to doctor in Wilmington Saturday. Think all 6 good to go. It is what it is. Biggest hurtle the dogs have ever faced on the Field. Go DOGS!

Thanks for telling me about it. I had no idea you had a talk show on the radio for your football coach. What I really liked was when he talked about how close they were. He said "I have no doubt that in 30 years from now these kids will still be having each other's back and that means more to me than anything"! That's good stuff.

The fun part of high school championship games is that typically there are no common opponents and the teams are not very familiar with each other. It means that all you have to go on is the film you watch, the coaches and fans that you talk to in preparation, and putting your own game plan together.

When the dust settles, the cream typically rises to the top.

There have been seasons that Shelby went deep into the playoffs with a ton of elite athletes but actually ran into a team that could match the athletes or perhaps the most elite athlete that made the difference. Years that come to mind are Burlington Cummings in 1988 with Burnette, Griffis, Davis and company, Clinton in 1997 with Parker and company, Cummings again in 2001 and 2002 with the Tate brother and the Williamson brothers, SW Onslow in 2004 with Burney, Marshall and Hardison, Hibriten in 2017 with Witherspoon and a great D.

There have been other seasons where Shelby's opponent had truly gaudy stats and were undefeated and Shelby blew them out.

You just never know until the you get on the field and play the game.

I'm looking forward to seeing if Shelby's vaunted Defense can stop the ridiculous running game of WRH. I've truly never seen a team with three 1,000 yard rushers, with one of them over 3,000....I've seen only a couple of times where a team three with just a little over 1,000 each...but not like WRH has this year.

Cummings used to be crazy good in early 2000’s
