Why are WV players going down wif injuries so often today? Could it be the weather? Or is it hard hitting by the Cyclones? For WV to win today..............Skyler gotta stay on his game.

Well.....I think we are now 3-12 on deep balls......2 completions, 1 pass interference........good odds.

Can someone explain the offensive playcalling up to this point by Holgerson? Is he upset he didn't get the LSU job or something?

Cheesy call on Walters. Running full speed down field and avoids any contact through contortionist moves and still gets the flag? WTF???

No way enough evidence to reverse this, is there??? And if they do, then it's got to be a penalty for intentional grounding, correct?

Iowa State's offense has scored 9 points.......three FG's....that's it. Our special teams has given up 7 points, plus bad field position......

I get the rule, I think intent plays a part and Walters clearly tried to avoid any contact or interference.

Hence, it stands as called...cheesy call.

The comment wasn't intended for you.....but intended to mean that it doesn't take a very smart person on the field to see the hand and pull up.......sorry if you thought I was taking a shot at you. I wasn't....

The only time that call isn't made is if there's question that a blocker caused the interference (either by pushing or directing the defender into the receiver). It sucks but that's just the bounce of the ball. We're lucky to be leading.

No, you're good, knew what you meant. I still think that this is somewhat a judgement call. You'll see some players come right up in the face of a player and sometimes get that call and sometimes not. I think Walters had no intent to interfere and made every possible attempt to avoid interference, he should get the benefit of doubt.

Under the bridge now!

We must think we can complete a lot of deep balls today. We've thrown more today than we have all year. We have had 4 positive plays on deep calls. Three completions for TD's, one PI call.......(White's TD was long, but it was a short slant turned in to a TD).

For a true freshman, Pettaway has good frame......promising looking future. Next year McKoy, Crawford, and Pettaway.......

We are going to rack up the yardage, but that will just mask the problems that we had today. Mainly holding calls in crucial situations. Not to mention that Iowa State STINKS......

Shhh, the entertainment is priceless.

What separates us from Oklahoma.......is win or lose, playing poorly is not accepted. We are up 42-19....that's awesome.....but our special teams has been very horrible, we've had numerous holding calls, and Iowa State's lack of talent has assisted us.....

I see where a poster was asked about whether he played high school ball or not. Let's set the record straight. Ole Warez played ball all the way from peanut to Pop Warner to Junior High to High to College and then on to the Pros. Yes sir.............I learned the juke move early in life (backyard ball) and took the move to the organized gridiron. It paid off handsomely. I still got that juke move and the phantom too...........to be honest. Warez

Everyone must have forgotten Iowa State has been in several games this year and played OU tough a few weeks ago. This team is going to be scary under Campbell.

Thank you there..........ex-pat in GA for the fine compliment. It always makes me feel proud when one of my constituents compliments me. But, did you say largest in Western hemisphere? Can you say.............largest pickle empire in the world? Much nicer ring.
