Bolden Expected To Miss Season
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (September 14, 2015) – West Virginia University freshman James “Beetle” Bolden is expected to miss the 2015-16 men’s basketball season after suffering a torn ACL and sprained MCL in his right knee on Saturday.
Bolden, a 6-foot guard from Covington, Kentucky, averaged 10.7 points in three games during WVU’s trip to the Bahamas in August. He had 10 steals and eight assists during those three contests.
“Obviously, our thoughts are with Beetle as he prepares for surgery and begins the rehabilitation process,” said coach Bob Huggins. “Beetle’s a great kid, and I know he will put the time in with Doc (Coordinator of Athletic Training Services Randy Meador) and come back stronger and hungrier than ever.”
