Why did Birmingham not have a team this year? They would probably be one of the few cities to support a team.
Birmingham is in the USFL. XFL has Orlando, Houston, St Louis, Seattle, San Antonio, Las Vegas, DC and Arlington.
They couldn’t support a league last spring. I doubt their USFL apathy made them very appealing to the XFL.
Only city that has an XFL and USFL team is Houston.

Technically, this iteration of the Houston Gamblers has never played a down in Houston and won’t this season either. They’ll be based in Memphis this season and share the Liberty Bowl with the Memphis Showboats.

I used to be a big showboats fan. I might have had that card above, and had an autographed team poster and other items.
I loved those games. I always laughed when a ball was kicked in the stands, and everyone in the endzone pointed in a different direction so the person that caught it could keep it. Was also were I learned the bull **** chant.
My cousin has the autographed life sized Reggie growth chart poster. I was jealous.
Hate when people that don't know **** start talking about **** they know nothing about. There was no apathy. They had a great season and the games were well attended.
Yeah, they were really killing it.*** They were giving away 4 packs for the change you found in your couch and still couldn’t get people to show up.
