I don't really keep up with recruiting

but I do read much of what you guys say.

Week before last, a Bear buddy of mine (who is connected) told me that Kailo is pulling a CJ. Says will be a Bear.

We were not really talking about recruit'n, but he just mentioned it.

FWIW.

I mentioned

this yesterday, about him being solid (apparently). However, after CJ, I will never consider it over until they actually sign. To much **** can go down in a few months. Hell, he's already flipped once. Who's to say he won't flip again?

While I agree with you... it's rare enough to see a player flip from one school to their in-state rival. It's probably multitudes rarer to see him flip back to his original school. I actually can't think of that happening before.

CJ did the same ****. Its never "solid" until ink is on the paper and it is faxed in.

Kailo is solid...

When a Bear does this, tell them that Mark Dodson will be a Bulldog and let them be the ones that go and worry about it...After all, he actually has an official visit with State for the Snow Bowl game. Based on the reality of visits, they've got more to worry about with Dodson than we do with Kailo.

I cannot

either. My point was it ain't over until his name is signed on the papers and they're faxed into the school. Until that point, I don't give much weight to anyone's "commitment."

If he's being straight forward, I think we've done a great job w him or he just really likes us. Frankly, I would think umiss has a heck of a lot more pt to sell him than us. Kalio will have the same 4 running backs ahead of him next year w only one a sr. Looks like a likely candidate to redshirt to me unless he's just super awesome. Then what ya do, take carries away from what appears to be a 1,000 yd rushing senior? I'm impressed he's willing to sign. More so if shumpert follows.

Exactly. I don't even try to keep up with recruiting for this very reason. Plus, I don't have the post count.

Dodson cancelled his visit to Mississippi State.

Dod must have gotten that living room set in advance...

Dodson cancelled his visit to Mississippi State.

Wonder if the bears will rip Kalios lanyard off his neck when he cheers the Dawgs to victory in the Egg Bowl? Ill be worried about him switching if that happens, because we all know that getting treated like that by the host team REALLY makes a recruit want to decommit from MSU and become a Bear.

Moore is all about track. I think he'd be willing to redshirt as long as he has his track to keep him busy.

Apparently most people think Griffin transfers, and there's not much star potential (in my opinion, I know a lot of you don't agree) with Milton and Robinson. Shumpert and Moore would be our Dyer/McCalleb. We also lose our FB's after this season. I think we convince Milton and Robinson to expand their roles outside of just running, because Shumpert and Moore have Lattimore-esk potential.

Don't a lot of experts have Shumpert on defense though?

Obviously I don't know

what these guys are thinking, but I don't see what the big deal is about redshirting. If I had the option to get my body in tip top shape and be put in a program that makes me a beast, for an entire year, I do it. You've got all the time in the world to play. I think Dan's program (redshirting) has proven to work.

At MSU. And he has a legit chance of playing RB next year.

Who have been told by the locals that they are the next big thing in the NFL despite being from Ethel, Ms rarely have perspective that good.

True.

That's where the lack of maturity comes in. Redshirting is just such an awesome deal, to me. A solid year (or more, in some cases) of non-stop weight training and speed training is just a really awesome advantage.

*Seconded

As freshmen they have done everything that has been asked of them. They have combined for 60 carries with 344yds and 3TDs

I disagree on your thoughts of lack of star potential. I like Milton a lot, I think he has a tremendous amount of star potential. I wasn't too sure about Robinson but he pulled me against Tennessee. I like him. While I don't think he can be an every down back, I think he will certainly be hard to keep off of the field. He has a lot of swagger, and I like to see him sharing his mojo and getting others fired up. If Nick Griffin has the mental toughness to stay with us and playing hard he can be a great asset as well.
We have an extremely bright future at RB if we can hang on to Moore and Shumpert

I highly doubt he'll play RB.....I've seen him play and yes he's good but he

doesn't have SEC speed to play RB......He was outran by two or three Amory players and even the IAHS staff I have spoken with will tell you he's a defensive player at the next level......He's a safety or outside lb all the way.......Has great feet but not great speed and he will knock the hell out you.....He would be a prototype safety...........
