Really wish this type of thing wouldn't come out. Jones is one of those that's in a situation where if he is thinking of visiting, it has to be quiet to keep the pressure from forcing him to stay home.

Yes, I know we have the same situation in some places, but I get the feeling this one has been in the works for some time now, but the coaches didn't want it going public.

I think one thing we have to remember about MSU recruiting is that we recruit more in-state players than OM. Due to that, the local media is going to have a more vested interest in digging up dirt on our recruits, and reporting every bit of speculation regarding them. If for no other reason than they have more connections to acquire more info.

Speck sucks, but since he is a High School Sports writer, its not really his job to report OM's decommits unless they they involve a local player. If you notice, the MS media barely covers our out of state commits or recruiting stories. They basically only cover OM's out of state guys via twitter.

I was talking about the tweet- hadnt seen the article...another quote from Jones:

He expects Alabama defensive line coach Chris Rumph to visit with him at school today. Jones is fresh off an official visit to Starkville and may go to any of the other three this weekend.
