Not so sure. I agree we screwed ourselves out of a 4-6 seed. I wouldn't be surprised to see the NCAA try to screw us with an 8 seed vs. 1 seed Gonzaga. I saw the other night what can happen to them when they misunderestimate (a little GWB here) a team like St. Mary's. Besides, I don't think they can pressure us.1 win because we are slated at either a 7 seed and based on the average sites would have us playing 2 seeded Mich St dont want them again Ward is back. And the other is a 8 seed out west would put us against Gonzaga the 1 if we win our 8/9 game we cant beat them . We screwed ourselves out of a 4-6 seed .
Just getting to the NCAA tourney makes this a good season.
But these guys have beaten one other team in a month, and beaten a second team by one point if I go back six weeks. Neither of those opponents are likely NCAA teams.
Kinda hard to be optimistic about now beating NCAA caliber teams. I'll say 50-50 to get one win, almost no chance of getting two...

OTOH MSU is a perennial foe in the tournament who causes me concern. We seem to attract them like the baseball team does Vandy.

Yes, and I referenced those games in the 2nd sentence. It is the rest of your post where we find disagreement. I don't fear Gonzaga and don't particularly want to play MSU, but don't fear them. We've played tougher opponents, just haven't beat them (except UNC).Not so sure. I agree we screwed ourselves out of a 4-6 seed.
You remember BC,Pitt and the infamous meltdown games ?
No you actually don't.Holy ****...I actually agree with Zipp. ...a great accomplishment...
The dislike of the Louisville program will continue, the NCAA hasn’t "dealt with us" yet for the Bowen situation, therefore I expect an 8 or 9 seed even though the consensus appears to have us at 7. I hope I’m wrong, but I’m mentally preparing for it.
No you actually don't.
I said "good", not great. This ain't zero-to-Alabama.
Regardless, if we get to a Sweet 16 and upset a 1- or 2-seed to get there, I'd have to call that "great". I just see little or no chance of that happening the way this team finished the season...
Possible for sure, but it could also go the other direction. It's not a stretch to think the committee could use the upsets to justify leaving a 13 loss team out of the tourney.Based on all the at large bids due to upsets in conference tournaments, we might do better than a 7 seed...
Everything from here on is gravy.Holy ****...I actually agree with Zipp. I said before that season that making the NCAA tournament would be a great accomplishment. My expectations have been exceeded for this season.
Our NET is pretty good and they are supposed to go more by that this year.Possible for sure, but it could also go the other direction. It's not a stretch to think the committee could use the upsets to justify leaving a 13 loss team out of the tourney.
True. The updated NET rankings has the Cards at #22. IF they go by that more than the actual records, then we might be looking at a 5 or 6 seed instead of a 7, 8, or 9 seed. Our NET is pretty good and they are supposed to go more by that this year.
You jinxed us or was that sarcasm?Michigan State is going to win and I think this makes them a #1 seed replacing Gonzaga. That's good, as I want no part of Michigan State right now as a #2 seed, potentially in the 2nd round.
