Buford (Ga.) four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte committed to Georgia well over a year ago, but has known for months that he will continue to take visits to schools still recruiting him.

One such school is Alabama.

Perlotte will take an official visit to Tuscaloosa on June 14. He will also officially visit Miami the week before.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Perlotte was reoffered by the Tide soon after Kalen DeBoer was hired.

“It means a lot to be offered by both coaching staffs. That’s big,” Perlotte told BOL in January. “I was excited. My coach told me they were coming down to see me. I was just waiting for it. They watched my whole workout, him and Coach Gillespie.”

Perlotte liked what he had seen from the staff at the time.

“It’s a good staff. They’re offensive-minded,” Perlotte said. “Alabama has always had a defense, so that’s not really the biggest problem. The team is going to need to score. I think it’s real good. If you’ve got a team that can score and a defense that’s hungry and mean, it’s a dangerous team.

“Saban set a good culture up there,” Perlotte added. “I don’t think that’s going anywhere. I think [him still being there] is real good. New head coach and Saban there, that’s dangerous.”

Perlotte remains locked in with Georgia

Auburn, Alabama, and Miami are among the schools that have continued to pursue Perlotte despite his commitment status. Nonetheless, Perlotte said in early February that he remains locked in with the ‘Dawgs.

“That’s always been home, always been my dream school,” Perlotte told On3’s Phillip Dukes on The Five Star Flex.

From Smart, to defensive coordinator and LBs coach Glenn Schumann, to the rest of the staff, Perlotte has developed solid relationships and sees the route to the next level as a linebacker in that system.

“Just seeing those linebackers, I always go up there, I’ve got good relationships with all of them,” Perlotte said. “Seeing them get drafted high, they always Georgia is LBU, so that’s really where I want to be at is the next level, the league.”
