Former Army RB Kanye Udoh commits to Arizona State

Former Army running back Kanye Udoh committed to Arizona State out of the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Udoh originally visited Arizona State along with Missouri, SMU and North Carolina. The New Jersey native decided to go out west.
Udoh played in the AAC Championship and Army-Navy game before entering the portal and exploring his options. He had a career year: 179 carries, 1,117 yards, 10 touchdowns and 6.2 yards per carry.
Over the course of his career, Udoh had 278 carries for 1,641 yards, 11 touchdowns and 5.9 yards per catch.
As a member of the Class of 2022, Udoh was a three-star recruit out of Richland (N.J.) St. Augustine Prep, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 41 overall prospect in the state, the No. 145 running back in the class and the No. 2,021 overall prospect in the class.

At St. Augustine Prep, Udoh was teammates with Army center Brady Small. As a senior, he rushed for 1,498 yards and 17 touchdowns helping St Augustine to a 9-2 record and an appearance in the N.J State playoff semifinal round.
He totaled 3,050 yards for his high school career on 519 attempts (5.9 avg.) with 27 career touchdowns. Udoh attended USMAPS during the 2022 season with Small.
Udoh also received offers out of high school from Delaware, Maryland, Buffalo, UConn, West Virginia, Nebraska, Temple, Rutgers, Syracuse and Boston College.
