Arkansas injury updates: Bobby Petrino reveals status of Danny Saili, David Oke vs. Auburn

One day after providing a hopeful outlook for injured defensive tackles Danny Saili and David Oke, Arkansas interim coach Bobby Petrino gave a more mixed outlook on the duo. He did so Wednesday on an SEC teleconference call.
Both players missed Saturday’s 45-42 home loss to Texas A&M. Having either could have made a significant difference.
That said, at least one of them is projected to return for this week’s game against Auburn. The other will not be available.
“I feel like Danny’s going to be good to go, knock on wood,” Petrino said. “He should be in a situation where he can come out and play and help us. We’re looking for that. Oke will not be available.”
Oke has been in and out of the lineup for Arkansas with his knee injury. He missed the first two games of the season, then returned to play in three more before the injury flared up on him again. He had missed time again after Week 5.
Saili, meanwhile, missed the Texas A&M game after becoming a solid contributor and soaking up plenty of snaps in key games against both Notre Dame and Tennessee. He has played in six games this year, logging three tackles and 1.5 tackles for a loss.
Josh Pate taking Arkansas on Best Bets
On Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, college football analyst Josh Pate provides his picks aboard the Ramen Noodle Express for the coming weekend, offering a preview for Week 9. He dished out first first pick, an SEC game, on Sunday night.
Pate is picking Arkansas to cover +1.5 against Auburn. He outlined his pick. Notably, the line has already shifted since he got it at +1.5.

“Here’s where we’re going to start. As of now – and I expect it to change – Arkansas is +1.5 at home against Auburn,” Pate said. “Arkansas will beat Auburn on Saturday, so I’m taking any points you give me
“Frankly, I would lay points with Arkansas. This is Bobby Petrino’s game. This is not Hugh Freeze’s game. This is an 11 a.m. kickoff for the Auburn Tigers in Northwest Arkansas. It couldn’t be set up any worse. Give me Arkansas +1.5. Give me Arkansas moneyline.”
