Auburn suffered another loss on Saturday night, this time to Kentucky. The Tigers fell 10-3, dropping their fifth game in the last six outings under coach Hugh Freeze.

And the fans that made the trek to Jordan-Hare Stadium were not happy. Following the game, thousands of fans stayed afterward to chant “Fire Hugh.” You can watch that below.

For his part, Hugh Freeze entered his postgame press conference asking for some patience from the fan base. Freeze once again brought up some decisions that went against Auburn earlier in the early, believing the record should be more in the Tigers’ favor.

“I wish I could ask for patience but that’s not really something people want to give in this day and time,” Freeze said via Michael Casagrande of AL.com. “And I understand that. I just know that we’re so dang close and if we had a few things go our way earlier in the year, I think we’re looking at a whole different deal. But it didn’t and that’s life. And that’s the game of football.”

Saturday night’s game, though, was ugly for Auburn. The Tigers managed just 241 yards of total offense and came away with just three points.

The quarterback position saw some turnover, as backup Ashton Daniels saw time in favor of entrenched starter Jackson Arnold. Neither fared particularly well.

Arnold went just 2-of-3 for 15 yards in the contest. Daniels saw much more action, going 13-of-28 passing for 108 yards. He was picked off once.

But the offensive woes have plagued Auburn and Hugh Freeze throughout the season. In its five losses to SEC opponents this season, the Tigers have averaged just 11.4 points per game. That won’t win you many contests in the SEC.

Ultimately, Tigers fans seem just about done with Hugh Freeze. The third-year head coach is now 15-19 overall and 6-16 in SEC play.
