Clemson bus crashes into light pole before Week 3 matchup at Georgia Tech

The Clemson football team’s bus crashed into a light pole ahead of the Tigers’ Week 3 matchup against Georgia Tech. Despite this, the team was able to make its way into Bobby Dodd Stadium in time for the Noon ET kickoff.
No injuries were reported. However, there was damage sustained to the side of the bus, which is picture below.
Clemson would jump out to a slow start to Saturday’s matchup, trailing 13-0 to begin the game before cutting into lead in the second quarter. Still, the Tigers would trail Georgia Tech 13-7 at the halftime break.
The Tigers lost it’s highly-anticipated season opener against LSU 17-10 on its home field, while they followed that up with a 27-16 win over Troy. Though, Clemson trailed 16-0 to begin the game before scoring the next 27 points.
Clemson was on the verge of facing a similar deficit to begin Saturday’s matchup against the Yellow Jackets before the Tigers scored their first touchdown. Their first scoring drive was their final of the half, which spanned 16 plays and 75 yards across 6:57 of game clock. It left Georgia Tech with less than a minute to work with to end the half.

Before kickoff, Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt predicted a “big” win for Clemson during Week 3. Even still, he has some concerns with the Tigers on the offensive side of the football moving forward.
“(Clemson) has not looked right this season. Now, remember what I’ve always said about Clemson, is that the frustrating part about Clemson’s offense, under Cade Klubnik and Garrett Riley, is the fact that they’ve had such peaks and valleys. You know, I’m not a huge fan of these peaks and valleys, and are we going to get a valley for a sustained period of time? I think that they probably bounce back,” Klatt said.
Clemson will look to make its come back against Georgia Tech live on ESPN. Prior to the game, BetMGM set a tight light with Clemson as a three-point favorite on the road against the Yellow Jackets. This comes after the Tigers had originally opened as a six-point favorite. The total is then set at 52.5 points, which, at halftime, is at 20 total points.
If Clemson can take care of business against Georgia Tech on Saturday, they’ll roll into Week 4 for a matchup against Syracuse at home in Death Valley.
