Wendell Moore Jr. throws down acrobatic reverse for Duke

If No. 8 Duke is looking to go on an ACC run after a loss to Miami last weekend, forward Wendell Moore Jr. will need to play a big role. During Saturday’s game against NC State, he showed he is on track to be a big factor.
With less than five minutes to play, Moore threw down a reverse while getting fouled. The basket gave the Blue Devils a 79-66 lead, and Moore added a free throw to make it a 14-point contest.
Duke ultimately pulled out the win, an 88-73 home victory. Moore finished with 15 points, going 6-for-8 from the field. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound junior added four rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Moore has been in a bit of a slump over the last few games prior to Saturday, scoring in the single digits twice in three games. Prior to a Jan. 4 game against Georgia Tech, Moore had scored at least 10 points in every Duke game this season. His averages on the year are 15.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and five assists. He is No. 2 in the ACC in assists per game, trailing only Wake Forest’s Alondes Williams.
