Arkansas transfer guard Boogie Fland will take an official visit to Florida on Monday and Tuesday, per On3’s Joe Tipton. Fland is the No. 10 overall player and No. 3 point guard in On3’s 2025 Transfer Portal Player Rankings.

Fland only spent one season at Arkansas. He made 21 appearances and 18 starts for the Razorbacks, averaging 13.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game while shooting 37.9% from the field and 34.0% from beyond the arc.

In Arkansas’ 83-65 loss to Missouri on Jan. 18, Fland suffered a severe hand injury, which sidelined him until the NCAA Tournament. Fland averaged 17.7 minutes per game during Arkansas’ three NCAA Tournament games.

Alas, Fland appeared rusty at times, shooting 4-18 from the field during the Big Dance. After the season, Fland declared for the 2025 NBA Draft. But, on May 13, Fland withdrew his name from the draft and announced he’d be returning to college basketball.

Fland was a projected NBA Draft lottery pick before the 2024-25 season began, but his draft stock fell due to his hand injury. Now, Fland will look to remind NBA scouts why they previously had him rated as one top draft prospects in college basketball.

Boogie Fland played high school basketball at Archbishop Stepinac (NY), where he was a four-star recruit. He was the No. 18 overall player and No. 1 point guard in the 2024 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Fland would be a fantastic addition to the Florida Gators, who are hungry to repeat as national champions. Alas, it won’t be easy for Florida. The team lost its top-four backcourt players this offseason.

Walter Clayton Jr., Will Richard and Alijah Martin are moving onto the NBA, while Denzel Aberdeen transferred to Kentucky. Fland would shoulder a heavy load for the Gators next season, along with transfers AJ Brown and Xaivian Lee.

Despite Florida’s losses, the team is still expected to be in the hunt for the national championship again next season. In Jamie Shaw’s “way-too-early” Top 25 college basketball rankings, he projected Florida to be the No. 22 team in the country next season. That ranking would only increase with the addition of Fland.
