Fort Worth (Texas) IMG Academy four-star safety Jordon Johnson-Rubell is visiting Florida State this weekend for the Seminoles’ game against Georgia Tech. Johnson-Rubell’s trip will be his first to Tallahassee.

The 5-foot-9.5, 165 pound defensive back is the No. 72 overall prospect and No. 6 safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 16 player in Florida.

Johnson-Rubell’s most recent visit was an unofficial to Florida on Oct. 15. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Texas has a commanding lead for his commitment at 94.3%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

The Seminoles’ 2024 recruiting class currently ranks No. 7 in the 2024 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the ACC. The group includes Albany (Ga.) Dougherty four-star running back Kameron Davis, Blountstown (Fla.) four-star safety Jordan Pride and Live Oak (Fla.) Suwannee four-star wide receiver Camdon Frier and Atlanta Woodward Academy four-star safety CJ Heard.

Johnson-Rubell has an On3 NIL Valuation of $80K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
