Florida State’s five-star recruiting weekend just got even better. Five-star safety Kamari Wilson of IMG Academy announced on Twitter Thursday he will be taking an official visit to Florida State this weekend.

Kamari Wilson ranks as the No. 27 player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also is the No. 3 safety in the country and the fourth-best player in Florida.

Wilson joins an elite visit list in what is shaping up as the biggest recruiting weekend of the season for Florida State.

The recruiting weekend also features Marvin Jones Jr., the No. 1 player in the country, according to On3. Las Vegas Desert Pines four-star running back Jovantae Barnes and On3 Consensus three-star receiver Camden Brown of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas are also scheduled to also be on campus for an official visit.

Heading into the weekend official visit at Florida State, On3’s Chad Simmons reports Kamari Wilson is trending toward Georgia.

“Kamari Wilson talks about visiting schools, and he is in contact with schools, but Georgia has been trending in this one since early summer,” Simmons wrote earlier this week. “There was some buzz about a decision coming last month, but Wilson has yet to announce his commitment.”

Wilson took an official visit to UGA on Oct. 2 and was last at Florida State on an unofficial visit on June 23. He also has taken official visits to LSU and Texas A&M. USC, Auburn, Florida and Miami are other schools that have remained in contact.

Before this weekend’s trip, Simmons reported Wilson could announce at any point. It will be interesting to see if the visit with the Noles shakes things up in his recruitment.
