One of the best in The Boot will be in Baton Rouge this weekend.

New Iberia (La.) Westgate four-star cornerback Jaboree Antoine is set to help headline an important Junior Day weekend for LSU. The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder confirmed on Thursday that he will be on campus for his latest visit with the Tigers.

Antoine is one of the many prospects that new LSU defensive backs coach Corey Raymond will look to get in the fold in the 2025 cycle. Antoine made no bones about how fond he was of the hire when asked by The Bengal Tiger.

“Adding Corey Raymond to the staff is huge for LSU,” Antoine told On3. “Like adding the icing on the cake!”

“Development is a top priority going into my decision,” he said, “and Corey Raymond is a household name for development.”

LSU had Antoine on campus in July and September last year. The Tigers also currently lead for his pledge in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). The in-state program will look to take another step in his recruitment this weekend.

Texas among those also in pursuit of Antoine

Antoine was in Austin last weekend on a Junior Day visit to Texas. The elite DB got to spend time with the Longhorns staff, including head coach Steve Sarkisian. Another Texas-LSU recruiting battle could be brewing in the 2025 cycle.

“The biggest thing that draws me to Texas is their willingness to develop players early on in the process, to prep them to play now and how real they are with you,” Antoine told On3’s Sam Spiegelman after the visit. “Coach Sark, Coach Terry, and Coach Gideon will all tell you what it is no matter the circumstances … Most coaches wouldn’t tell you the real, and I feel like that’s huge because I should be able to trust a Coach if I’m making a life-changing decision to come and impact any program.”

Antoine narrowed his list down to eight schools on Christmas. Alongside LSU and Texas are Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan, Miami and Texas A&M. He is the No. 45 overall prospect and No. 7 CB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3 ranks Antoine higher than other recruiting services. He checks in as the No. 19 recruit, No. 3 CB and No. 2 player in Louisiana in the 2025 On300.
