LSU releases seismograph data from overtime touchdown, 2-point conversion

The LSU Tigers’ College of Science released their seismograph data from Baton Rouge on Saturday night, revealing incredible results at the time of the football team’s overtime touchdown and two-point conversion over the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Even for those who aren’t seismologists, the graphs are astonishing. The earthquake-detecting equipment registered a massive spike as the Tigers answered an Alabama touchdown with their own on a 25-yard run from Jayden Daniels.
The graph spikes again at the moment Daniels found Mason Taylor to seal the victory and the shake level remains high as the fans stormed the field.

Daniels finished the game 22-for-32 for 182 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, 95 rushing yards and another rushing TD. Wideout Kayshon Boutte led all receivers with seven catches for 51 yards as the quarterback spread the ball around on Saturday.
Fans at the stadium last registered a small earthquake at a Garth Brooks concert in August. Brooks prompted his fans to sing “Callin’ Baton Rouge.” The song is considered the unofficial anthem for Death Valley.

LSU Tigers topple Alabama in overtime
The win was just the second for LSU in the past 12 contests between the two teams. It puts them in first place in the SEC West with a chance to compete for the conference title. Brian Kelly’s Tigers are also likely to move up in the College Football Playoff rankings, as they seem to stand the best chance of any two-loss team of making it. In the latest CFP title odds, the purple and gold are +4500.
Due to fans storming the field, LSU incurred its second $250,000 fine of the season from the SEC. They also received a fine after beating Ole Miss when the Rebels were No. 7 in the rankings.
LSU has conference games against Arkansas and Texas A&M left on its schedule, beginning with the Razorbacks at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday in Fayetteville. They’ll also take on UAB on Nov. 19.
