LSU vs. Missouri: First pitch adjusted for SEC series opener, new start time revealed

The start time of Friday’s LSU–Missouri baseball game has been moved to 4:30 PM CST, due to the forecast of inclement weather in the area. Friday’s game was originally slated to begin at 6:30 PM CST. The news was relayed on Thursday evening via an official press release.
While they’re having to deal with the game being moved around on Friday, the Tigers got some new baseball cleats on Thursday. The school posted a video on Twitter as their equipment team delivered the shoes to their players.
Friday’s game is the first game of the three-game series between Missouri and LSU. The top-ranked Tigers are loaded with some impressive freshmen talent. Their freshmen lead the team in batting average (.450), pitching appearances (7), and saves (3).
In their most recent game against Xavier, LSU whipped the Musketeers 18-4, thanks to their hot bats. The Tigers finished with 18 hits. They put up seven runs in the first inning, jumping out to a 17-0 lead after the first three innings. And the game was called in the seventh inning, because of the blowout. Third baseman Tanner Reaves connected on a grand slam, while also hitting a double. He finished 2-for-3 with two runs and four RBIs on the night.
