Former UTEP WR Kelly Akharaiyi commits to Mississippi State
Former UTEP wide receiver Kelly Akharaiyi committed to Mississippi State. He entered the transfer portal November 30th and now made his decision.
Akharaiyi played two seasons at UTEP, 24 games total. He had a breakout year in 2023, catching 48 passes for 1,033 yards, seven touchdowns and 21.5 yards per catch.
In total, he has 69 catches for 1,308 yards, eight touchdowns and 19 yards per catch over the course of two full seasons.
As a member of the Class of 2020, Akharaiyi was not ranked, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He played his HS football in Irving (Texas) MacArthur.
