St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College four-star wide receiver Corey Simms recently narrowed his list of more than 30 offers down to a 12 schools.

“These schools made the cut because of their consistency, how transparent they have been, how and where I fit into the program and how they have prioritized me,” Simms told On3’s Chad Simmons.

ArkansasGeorgiaKansasLSUMiamiMichiganMissouriNebraskaOle MissPenn StateTennessee and USC made the cut, but there’s one team trending in the On3 Recruiting Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) as it stands today. And that’s the in-state Tigers.

Michigan recruiting insider EJ Holland logged an expert pick in favor of Eli Drinkwitz and Co. to land the No. 343 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking. Of the 12 schools still on his list, Simms has visited Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Nebraska, Penn State, Tennessee and USC.

He has no visits planned for April and he turns his focus to finalizing his official visit schedule in the coming months. Simms already has official visits to USC (June 7), Nebraska (June 14) and Missouri (June 21) lined up.

He is in no rush to make a decision. It could come during the season, but he is ready to move forward with the process.

“When I commit, I am looking for my participation in the program and how I will grow and develop,” Simms added. “Relationships, consistency and trust are factors too.

“I am ready now to continue developing my relationships with coaches and identify the pros and cons in each school. My parents and I have been moving through the recruiting process and this is the start of things by cutting my list.”

Simms would be another key addition for the Tigers

Heading into a season where Missouri will likely be ranked among the top 10 nationally to start the year, the Tigers are looking to capitalize on the recruiting trail. And they’ve already done so, beating out Georgia, Penn State, Alabama and Pittsburgh earlier this week for elite 2025 quarterback prospect Matt Zollers.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder — who ranks as On3’s No. 17 overall prospect and No. 3 QB — is the highest rated quarterback to commit to the Tigers in more than a decade. And he should be a major building block for Mizzou’s recruiting class.

“I think this is a statement recruiting win for Missouri,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power said. “We’ve seen their recruiting take off over the past year or so — signed Williams Nwaneri, a five-star, in 2024. I think Matt Zollers is a guy that you can really build your program around assuming he continues to get better and takes off once he’s in college. I think he has a shot at being their starting quarterback after Brady Cook. Such a big-time talent, and I think he really helps them maintain grabbing a foothold in the SEC.”
