Oklahoma cornerback Mykel Patterson-McDonald enters NCAA Transfer Portal

Oklahoma Sooners defensive back Mykel Patterson-McDonald has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. On3’s Pete Nakos reported the news.
Patterson-McDonald played high school football at Westmoore (Moore, OK), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 757 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

As a recruit, Patterson-McDonald was courted by a number of fascinating programs, including UNLV, Michigan State, Missouri and Iowa State. Time will tell if any of those teams revisit him, now that he’s available once again.

Martin only spent one season at California, where he made seven appearances. He finished the 2024 campaign with 12 catches for 112 receiving yards, along with five carries for 44 yards and a touchdown.
Martin played high school football at John H. Guyer High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 714 overall player and No. 113 wide receiver in the 2024 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Martin amassed 121 receptions, 1,806 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns in two prep campaigns for teams that combined for a 21-5 mark, with the 2022 squad reaching the 6A D2 state semifinals.
