Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral has put together a sensational season piloting the Rebels’ offense, and that’s the reason why he’s been in Heisman Trophy discussions throughout the year. Entering the final stretch of the 2021 regular season, Corral continues to be in the Heisman running – and Ole Miss has officially started its push for the quarterback to win the prestigious award.

The team on Sunday released a video to their Twitter account featuring Corral and his success this season. They used the hashtag #Hei2man in the tweet and even included a created graphic in the upper left corner of the video.

Corral has been on a tear this season as the junior from Ventura, California has completed 182-of-272 passes for 2,527 yards and 16 touchdowns with just two interceptions. He’s also rushed 116 times for 528 yards and 10 more touchdowns. He’s averaging 280.8 passing yards and 58.7 rushing yards per game.

In Corral’s latest outing, a 29-19 Ole Miss win over Texas A&M, he completed 24-of-37 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions.

The win – a fifth in their last six games – moved the Rebels to 8-2 on the season with a 4-2 mark in SEC play. They return to action Saturday for their home finale against Vanderbilt.
