4-star ATH Aaron Butler sets Oregon visit
Calabasas (Calif.) four-star athlete Aaron Butler is visiting Oregon from April 6-8. He announced the news Wednesday over Twitter.
The Ducks will be the second Pac-12 program to host Butler in recent weeks. He took an unofficial visit to Colorado on March 18 and has set an official visit back to the Buffaloes for the weekend of April 22.
Butler is the No. 81 overall prospect and No. 5 athlete in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 10 player in California.
“Oregon presents many life-changing opportunities, on the field on the track and off the field as well,” Butler told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Feb. 22. “It’s a great program.”
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Georgia has a commanding lead for Butler’s pledge at 95.9%. He has an upcoming official visit to the Bulldogs on the weekend of April 15.
Oregon’s 2024 recruiting class is No. 12 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the Pac-12. It includes five prospects: Newport Beach (Calif.) Newport Harbor four-star wide receiver Jordan Anderson, Philadelphia (Penn.) Roman Catholic four-star wide receiver Tyseer Denmark, Vancouver (Wash.) Evergreen four-star offensive tackle Fox Crader, Yuma (Ariz.) Yuma Catholic three-star EDGE Jaxson Jones and Medford (Ore.) North Medford three-star tight end A.J. Pugliano.

“These schools made the list because I can see coaches at each developing me into a first-round draft pick,” Butler told On3’s Chad Simmons about his top five. “Being developed and drafted is the main thing for me when evaluating schools. That makes these seven stand out.”
“Outside of that, all are great programs with great people,” he added. “The coaches are great, they have great families and the environment is important to me too. I want to be able to relate to the coaches, and coaches at each of these relate to me and make me feel comfortable.”
Simmons reported last month that Butler will likely be using all five of his official visits. He already knows one important factor of his decision.
“The biggest thing is winning for me,” Butler told Simmons on Oct. 26. “I’m trying to win a championship in college football, for sure, and be on the biggest stage possible.”
