Dan Lanning trolls Penn State, Mo Bamba after Oregon Week 5 victory

Oregon coach Dan Lanning fired off one more social media troll after the Ducks beat Penn State 30-24 in double overtime Saturday. He took to his Instagram story to post a picture of DB Dillon Thieneman, who had the game-winning pick of Penn State QB Drew Allar.
But it wasn’t the picture. It was the picture coupled with the song “Mo Bamba,” which is famously used by the Nittany Lions’ PA system. Remember that moment where Michigan couldn’t get the opening snap off during a white out back in 2019? The song’s been viral since.
But Lanning, ever the sly coach, used that song in his Instagram story. He even captioned it was “My new favorite song.”
“I think that’s the best game I’ve ever been a part of, regardless of who won that game, unbelievable back and forth,” Lanning said postgame. “Penn State is a damn good football team. They figured out some stuff there against us at the end. I think we both scored two touchdowns in the second half, just an unbelievable back and forth.”
QB Dante Moore continue his Heisman campaign as well. The Ducks quarterback went 29-of-39 passing for 248 yards and three touchdowns, out-dueling Allar.

“I think we have the best quarterback in college football,” Lanning said. “Anybody watch that game? That guy’s composure, his poise…tells you a little bit about that guy.”
As far as that atmosphere was concerned? Lanning knew it would be a challenge for Oregon to come into the famous white-out and waltz to a win. They had to grind it out and needed to play some “free football.”
“This is a huge one for our entire team, right? Because that crowd’s probably worth seven points, right? And they really weren’t tonight,” Lanning said. “I really didn’t feel that much ourselves.”
