Opa Locka (Fla.) Monsignor Pace defensive lineman Shemar Stewart made what is expected to be his final campus visit this weekend before he announces his college commitment. Stewart, the No. 7 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, shared a video Sunday morning from Texas A&M, where the Aggies are hosting a major visitors’ weekend.

He was joined by Five-Star Plus prospects Harold Perkins and Walter Nolen; the latter is already committed to the Aggies.

Stewart is considered a heavy lean to Texas A&M, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). He has received four expert predictions to the Aggies in the last week, and the only potential threat appears to be Miami, which just hired Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal.

ā€œTexas A&MĀ is still on top for Opa Locka (Fla.) Monsignor Pace pass rusherĀ Shemar StewartĀ and the momentum does not seem to be slowing down,ā€ On3 Director of Recruiting Chad SimmonsĀ wrote last week.

Harold Perkins and Shemar Stewart are Texas A&M’s biggest targets

With the flip of five-star defensive linemanĀ Gabriel Brownlow-DindyĀ from Oklahoma to the Aggies, Texas A&MĀ ascended to the No. 1 spotĀ in theĀ On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.

ButĀ Jimbo FisherĀ and Co. still have a number of major targets still on the board, headlined by Perkins and Stewart.

Harold Perkins is down to a top three ofĀ LSU,Ā TexasĀ and Texas A&M. And he has hosted each for an in-home visit this week. The Aggies have considered the favorite for quite some time now. The RPM also lists the Aggies as a huge favorite for Perkins.

Should Texas A&M land both, which is a very distinct possibility, the Aggies would have five of the top eight prospects in theĀ On3 ConsensusĀ committed for 2022. NolenĀ committed to the Aggies on Nov. 6 and wide receiverĀ Evan StewartĀ followed suit on Nov. 29.
