The month of April has been kind to Mike Elko and the new staff at Texas A&M on the recruiting trail.

The Aggies have landed three commitments this month. Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair three-star defensive lineman Landon Rink kicked things off on April 3 by choosing the in-state program. Over the weekend, a pair of major prospects joined the fold in Denton (Texas) Ryan four-star offensive lineman Marcus Garcia and Corona (Calif.) Centennial four-star quarterback Husan Longstreet.

Now, with the spring in full swing, Texas A&M has the No. 12 class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. A top-10 class could be on the horizon, too, as the Aggies look to be entering pole position for another pair of recruits.

Late Monday night, On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons logged a pick in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) in favor of A&M landing Pflugerville (Texas) Weiss four-star wide receiver Adrian Wilson. The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder decommitted from Oregon on March 26 and is also a former TCU pledge.

Wilson is the nation’s No. 158 overall prospect, No. 17 wide receiver and No. 26 recruit from Texas in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

“Since the new staff took over in College Station, communication has been strong and Wilson has taken a liking to the in-state program,” Simmons wrote. “He really likes Holmon Wiggins and the Aggies have a real shot at keeping Wilson home.”

A&M has remained a factor in his recruitment and are looking to become the new favorite in the race for his pledge. Wiggins has the foot on the gas for the Aggies and will look to lock down the impressive Lone Star State pass-catcher.

On Tuesday, On3 VP of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong logged a pick in the On3 RPM in favor of A&M landing Prosper (Texas) three-star IOL Connor Carty. Checking in at 6-foot-5 and 290 pounds, Carty has been a frequent visitor on campus in College Station.

“I think that they are moving that program in the right direction for sure!” Carty said in February. “I’m a fan of their goals and expectations for sure! It was great getting meet everyone and seeing A&M from a new perspective compared to the last staff. Coach Elko is great! I believe he has the tools to be successful in the SEC.”

Carty is the No. 407 overall prospect and No. 34 IOL in the 2025 cycle. He would follow Garcia, as well as Spring (Texas) Legacy three-star Joshua Moses as interior linemen on Elko’s pledge list.

A&M currently owns commitments from seven recruits — six of whom are four-stars. Longstreet headlines as the No. 6 QB in the cycle and is one of five top-300 prospects in the mix overall. Things continue to trend up on the trail for the SEC program entering a new era without former skipper Jimbo Fisher.
