Texas QB Arch Manning and San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama shared a Spurs’ jersey swap Saturday, featuring their names and numbers. The Longhorns are currently on a bye week.

In eight games this season, his second year in the NBA, Wembanyama is averaging 25.1 points per game, 12.3 rebounds per game, 3.3 assists per game, shooting 50.7% from the floor and 24% from three-point range. The Spurs are currently 6-2.

As far as Manning is concerned, he’s turned it up a notch in the last couple of weeks. After inconsistent play, he’s steadily improved in the latter half of the season as Texas is 7-2 and ranked No. 11 in the College Football Playoff rankings.

In nine games, Manning has 2,123 yards, 18 touchdowns, six interceptions and a 62.7% completion percentage. He also has 203 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground.

One thing with Manning, you always hear about the Mannings supporting each other, even if college football alliances fall in different places. The same holds true from grandfather Archie.

“I haven’t been to but one game, so I’m home,” Archie Manning said of watching Arch via Up and Adams. “It’s hard. It’s really hard. We pull for him so hard. They’ve had some protection problems this year and struggled in a few games. So, we’re proud of him and he’s handled everything really well.”

Eli Manning was also present on the call, revealing there is actually a family group chat. Texts begin to fire off when Arch is out on the field. Everyone in the Manning family appears to be bought in on Texas — possibly because there have been no matchups between their grandson/nephew/cousin and Ole Miss or Tennessee.

“We have a great family chat with all the brothers, all my nephews, my nieces,” Eli Manning said. “We’re all pulling for Arch. It’s a fun time that we kind of gather on Saturdays now. We watch Ole Miss, we get to watch Texas. I got my son, Charlie, dialed in. He’s got his full Texas gear on. So, we’re rooting for him hard.”
