Former Trojans great LenDale White wants spot on USC coaching staff

Former USC great LenDale White has been vocal about the program as it has hit rocky times under coach Lincoln Riley. Now he’s speaking up in a different way.
White wants a job on staff.
Quote-tweeting a post on Twitter that indicated USC is planning to hire a general manager for its football program in the coming weeks, LenDale White replied simply.
“I need to be on staff as well,” he wrote.
The former USC great certainly has the credentials from his playing days. However, he does not currently have any college coaching experience.
Moreover, his comments toward the program probably make any union between LenDale White and Lincoln Riley a bit unlikely. White has been critical often over the course of the last two years.
After the team’s loss to Washington in November this year, White took to social media to hammer Riley.
“Lincoln u are f*****g stealing from USC. Donate ur salary to help recruit that coaching job u doing ain’t helping sh*t,” White posted on social media.

White went on to lament that after three seasons Riley still didn’t seem to have many answers, with the program trending in the wrong direction. He did, however, note that if Riley won a national title he would apologize.
Probably a touch too chaotic to merit serious consideration for a job on staff. Still, when someone of White’s caliber comments, it’s worth noting.
A two-time Second-Team All-Pac-10 selection, White shared a backfield with Reggie Bush. Together, they helped lead the Trojans to win two national championships.
In two years, White recorded 2,405 yards rushing and 39 touchdowns. He also caught 25 passes for 316 yards and four touchdowns.
