New Caney (Texas) four-star cornerback CJ Blocker revealed his top five schools on Dec. 7. They are Alabama, Colorado, Kentucky, USC and Utah.

Blocker is the No. 344 overall prospect and No. 37 cornerback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 61 player in Texas.
On3 rates Blocker higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2023 On300, he is the No. 298 overall prospect, No. 35 cornerback and No. 52 player in Texas.
The 5-foot-10.5, 160-pound defensive back was previously committed to the Utes. He backed off his pledge to Utah on Nov. 23.

Blocker has scheduled an official visit to USC on the weekend of Dec. 16. He is also taking an official to TCU this weekend.
At the moment, the Trojans’ 2023 recruiting class contains one cornerback. Oxnard (Calif.) four-star cornerback Maliki Crawford chose USC on Aug. 2.
Blocker has an On3 NIL Valuation of $14.9K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
