USC isn’t holding anything back for its first Pac-12 matchup of the season. On Friday, the Trojans’ Twitter account posted a sneak peek of its pregame trailer for the their matchup against Stanford.

The frame included an aerial view of LA Memorial Coliseum. However, it was the text over the image that caught fans’ eyes.

“Saturday night standoff,” it read. “Narrated by Snoop Dogg.”

Looks like the California-based rapper took notice of the team’s hot start. USC is 2-0 this season, winning by an average margin of 40 points. On Saturday, the Trojans will look to extend that streak against Stanford.

The two programs will face off at 7:30 p.m. PT. The game will be broadcast on FOX.

Caleb Williams prepares for massive matchup

Caleb Williams doesn’t plan on letting Snoop Dogg down. After Williams’ father suggested the quarterback could return for the 2024 season earlier this week, the Heisman Trophy winner set the record straight.

“We’ve got Stanford this week, and that’s what I’ll be worried about,” Williams said on Wednesday. “The game is three days out and so that’s the main focus, main goal, is to go out there against Stanford and not let my teammates down out there on Saturday.

“That will be the answer to all of those questions toward the NFL,” Williams said. “I have 10 more games left here that I’m given. And then we’re working for the last three. So that’ll be the answer for all of that.”

Williams is yet to disappoint. Through two games, the 6-foot-1 QB boasts 597 yards and nine touchdowns. He has not thrown an interception. Williams had a field day against Stanford last season, exploding for 341 yards and four touchdowns without an interception.

He looks forward to facing the Cardinal again.

“We’re excited to get out there and see what they’ve been showing on film and all the new tricks that they’ll try to bring on Saturday,” Williams said.

Despite Williams’ hopes, this won’t be the same Stanford the Trojans faced last season. The Cardinal turned the tides this offseason, bringing in head coach Troy Taylor from Sacramento State.

Taylor spent four years at Sacramento State, compiling a 30-8 overall record while going 23-1 in the Big Sky Conference. He previously served as the offensive coordinator at Utah from 2017-2018 and was the co-offensive coordinator at Eastern Washington before that.
