USC drops hype video featuring Ronnie Lott ahead of matchup with Arizona

The USC Trojans survived a scare last weekend against the Colorado Buffaloes, 48-41. The Trojans may have had a close call, but they’re still undefeated and sitting at 5-0 heading into their next game this weekend against the Arizona Wildcats.
On Friday night, the Trojans dropped an epic hype video featuring USC legend Ronnie Lott, to get fans pumped up for the Arizona game.
Check out the video below.
In his speech to fire up the players, he asked, “How great do you wanna be?”
Ronnie Lott was one of the most feared safeties of all-time and one of the greatest players in the history of the sport, earning a spot in not only the College Football Hall of Fame, but the Pro Football Hall of Fame as well.
During his senior year at USC, Lott led the nation in interceptions (eight) and return yards (166), bringing home unanimous All-American honors.
In the pros, he was punched his ticket to the Pro Bowl 10 times and won the Super Bowl four times. Among many other accomplishments in his prolific career, Lott was the interceptions leader in the National Football League two times (1986 and 1981). Known for his bone-rattling hitting style, he was one of the most feared and hardest hitting tacklers in the history of the sport.
While the USC defense has once again left a lot to be desired in the 2023 campaign, the USC offense is once again one of the most dynamic units in the sport today. It all starts with last year’s Heisman Trophy winner, quarterback Caleb Williams. He’s actually been putting up better numbers than he did last year when he won the Heisman, if you can believe it.

Against Colorado last week, Williams completed 30 passes for 403 yards, while tossing in six touchdowns. According to ESPN Stats & Info, he became the first player in college football in the last 25 years to throw for six passing touchdowns in a game for multiple schools. He had six passing touchdowns for Oklahoma against Texas Tech in 2021. He’s been pegged as the No. 1 overall prospect in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft by nearly every expert in the country for quite some time.
And he’s got a great shot to win back-to-back Heisman trophies, which is mind-blowing to even think about.
USC receiver Tahj Washington is the team’s leading pass catcher, hauling in 395 receiving yards. Last week, he torched the Colorado secondary to the tune of 117 yards and a touchdown on eight catches. Before joining the Trojans in 2021, he played his first two seasons of college football with the Memphis Tigers.
USC and Arizona will square off on Saturday, Oct. 7th. Kickoff for that one will be slated for 10:30 PM EST.
