USC shares amazing Hall of Fame stat after Tony Boselli induction ceremony

After former USC star Tony Boselli was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame officially, the Trojans shared an amazing stat he contributed to for the school. With Boselli’s addition into Canton, USC now has more alumni in the Pro Football Hall of Fame than any other school. Boselli is the 14th former Trojan to have himself enshrined as a part of football history after his incredible career with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
USC pays tribute to Tony Boselli
Boselli was selected as the second overall pick of the 1995 NFL Draft by the then-new expansion team, the Jacksonville Jaguars. The pick was one of the best the Jaguars could have selected, as he quickly became synonymous with their immediate success as a franchise. Injuries shortened his career, but his seven years with the team were the most of any player in the franchise’s short history at the time of his retirement.
Boselli entered his rookie season late after suffering a knee injury in training camp, but returned to the field in Week 4. As a rookie, he started all 12 games remaining in the year and allowed just one sack — earning All-Rookie honors.

The left tackle led the Jaguars to an AFC championship game in just the franchise’s second season — the first of four-straight playoff appearances by Jacksonville with Boselli protecting the quarterback. In 1998, he was named the team’s Most Valuable Player as they captured their first division title.
In 2001, Boselli started in just three games before a shoulder injury took him out of play for the rest of the season. The following year, Boselli was selected in an expansion draft by the Houston Texans, but he would never play in the NFL again, finishing his career as a Jaguars icon. His success on the field was so notable that he was picked for the NFL’s All-Decade Team for the 1990s, despite entering the league in 1995.
