USC WR Ja'Kobi Lane makes unbelievable touchdown grab, Miller Moss reacts

At the start of the 2024 season, USC wide receiver redshirt junior Kyron Hudson made his bid for “catch of the year.”
Midway through the 2024 season, another Trojans wideout has entered the conversation: sophomore Ja’Kobi Lane.
Also in one-handed fashion, Lane wowed Saturday afternoon at Maryland. What helps his case, though, is that he did so while making a touchdown catch.
On a 2nd-and-3 midway through the second quarter, USC quarterback Miller Moss took a shot to the end zone. Lane was in single coverage, albeit good coverage from Maryland’s top cover corner, redshirt sophomore Perry Fisher.
It didn’t matter.
Lane stuck his left hand out, plucked the ball out of the air and swung around while getting down in bounds for a touchdown that extended USC’s first-half lead to 14-7.

In equal parts celebration and disbelief, Moss put his hands to his helmet looking around the field as Lane danced in the end zone.
Lane entered the day tied with classmate and fellow wideout Zachariah Branch for the most receptions (23) on the team.
Lane trailed only Hudson for the most receiving yards (262 vs. 252) on the team.
Both Hudson and Lane will leave SECU Stadium in College Park with an argument for why they should be up for “catch of the year.”
