4-star ATH Dylan Robinson commits to Washington: 'It felt like home'

La Vergne (Calif.) Bonita athlete Dylan Robinson has plenty of options. Not only offers, but he had the option to play offense or defense on the next level too. It came down to Notre Dame, UCLA and Washington and the four-star chose to play for play defense for Jedd Fisch and the Huskies.
“I took two visits up there, and after visiting for the first time in January, it felt like home,” Robinson told On3. “It felt like home for me up there from the beginning. On my official visit, it felt like home again and the place I should be at.”
The consistency paid off for Fisch and Washington
Fisch and the new staff at Washington came in and offered Robinson days after making the move to Seattle. From the start, the staff was very consistent and made the No. 186 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking feel like a priority.
“They have been on it. That made an impact on me. Washington has always been a favorite in the back of my mind. Teams would switch out some after visits or conversations, but Washington stayed in the top two. My feeling for Washington kept persisting as a top school for me.

“Each school was great, and I loved all three schools, but my feeling for Washington was a little bit different. I feel good about the coaches at Washington developing me at defensive back. The culture and the staff at Washington is different for me. The city and the location felt like home for me too.
“All those things factored into my decision.”
Robinson took his time with his decision and Washington won out
Notre Dame liked Robinson on the offensive side of the ball. UCLA liked Robinson on defense first, like Washington. He is expected to get some reps on offense for the Huskies too.
He is happy with his decision.
“My decision played out over time for me,” Robinson said. “Every day, after my official visits, my decision became more clear every day. I prayed on it daily, I thought about it a lot and there wasn’t a real moment that I made the decision, but over time, it became clear Washington was the school for me.”
