2025 4-star RB Byron Louis is excited to see Wisconsin for the first time

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage four-star running back Byron Louis was at Miami last weekend for the Hurricanes’ Junior Day. He is bound for Big Ten territory next.
That is because Wisconsin will be hosting Louis for the first time this weekend. Meanwhile, Badgers coaches have already been to the Sunshine State to visit the 6-foot-0, 208-pound tailback.
“That’s RBU,” Louis told On3. “They’re going to run the ball. With (head) coach (Luke) Fickell’s offense, they run a lot of spread, so that lightens the load on the running backs. Now, all they need is a quarterback to complement that offense and Wisconsin is going to be back.”
Louis has multiple contacts in Madison, including running backs coach Devon Spalding. Right now, the Badgers’ 2025 recruiting class contains seven players such as Wautoma (Wis.) three-star offensive tackle Michael Roeske, Cincinnati (Ohio) Mt. Healthy three-star cornerback Jaimier Scott and Fredericksburg (Va.) St. Michael three-star safety Remington Moss.
Louis’ plan is to arrive in Wisconsin on Friday and depart on Sunday. The No. 28 player in Florida is excited to learn more about the Badgers and Fickell and Co.’s message to him.

“I’m looking forward to seeing how they can develop me on and off the field,” said Louis, the No. 200 overall prospect and No. 16 running back in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. “Life after football is very important to me and I want to see what they have in store for me.”
Ohio State and Miami are also pushing for Louis
In addition to Wisconsin, some of the top college football programs in the country are hoping to land Louis. They include Ohio State and Miami, and he proceeded to break down his interest in each of those schools.
Ohio State: “Before I went my first time, everybody always told me that I was going to love it,” Louis told Lettermen Row on Nov. 14 “They said it’s out of this world, the people, the facility, the way they operate, the town, that it was all just different. Everything I’ve been told has come true and I believe it.”
Miami: “They believe I’m the best running back in 2025 and they want me to lead the class,” Louis told CaneSport on Jan. 20. “They want me to start recruiting early, really, but you know, first off, for me to do that, I’d have to commit… (Mark Fletcher) is like my older brother. He’s always telling me The U wants me and I’m next up and I’m a believer in that.”
